It is an interesting Paradox the amount of classifications that people face when participating in "social smoking".  It is a habitual and addictive problem that plays into many different social elements. The interesting thing that starts to play is the ability to "live between worlds" that happens when people do not give themselves a label.  We have talked about the idea of Primary and Secondary Deviance and the labels that can be hidden and not hidden.  Social Smokers face a problem of branching between this reality, and eventually face a choice of conflict of interest or impression management.  If someone has a drinking problem, and they only smoke whilst they drink, at some point people will label them as a smoker.  Is this true/false?
