Multiple choice

Read the following scenario.   Joey’s Story I met Zack during one of the core modules we had to take in Year one. He seemed interested in me and I thought he was really cute. We exchanged numbers and started texting each other. However, that was when things went south. He would send me at least 10 messages a day, using endearments like “his love”, or “babe”, and persistently asking me out. When I declined his requests for dates, he even sent me inappropriate pictures of himself posing topless, with captions like “missing you”, or “wishing you are with me right now”. At times, he would prompt me to reciprocate by sending him photos of myself in lingerie too.  I feel very uncomfortable when I receive such persistent messages from him.  I’ve made my discomfort known to him and told him that I am not interested in going out with him. I have since stopped replying to his messages. Recently, he has been “conveniently” waiting for me outside the dance studio. I have told him repeatedly to not wait for me after my practice sessions but he continues to do so. My heart starts to pound with dread and I would instantly be on the alert every time I see him after practice sessions. I’m thinking of quitting my dance CCA just to avoid seeing him.  Zack’s Point of View I’m really attracted to Joey’s girl-next-door look and her bubbly personality. I think we had a connection from the first time we met. She even gave me her number and we texted each other frequently. Recently however, from her replies to my messages, she seems a little distant, and I’ve decided to step up my game by waiting for her outside the dance studio. All these are just part and parcel of the pursuit. I seriously don’t see that there is anything wrong with my actions.  Tick the statement(s) which you think is/are correct. (You may selected as many choices as required).

Options
A.Zack’s actions can be construed as a form of sexual harassment as Joey was clearly disturbed by his persistent and unsolicited comments and actions.
B.Zack did not sexually harass Joey as he did not ask her for any sexual favours or touch her inappropriately.
C.The act of Joey and Zack exchanging numbers and them starting to text each other does not constitute sexual harassment.
D.This scenario does not depict a case of sexual harassment as Zack had only meant to pursue Joey. It was never his intention to harass her.
