Taking Exams No Additional Materials -- No use of hard-copy notes or printed materials. Before the exam begins, notes, books, and other hard-copy items should be cleared from your testing space. No Navigation -- No navigating from the exam window to search for answers on online sources, including the course lectures, word doc notes from your reading, online dictionaries, or any other websites. No Collaboration -- No collaboration with another student while taking the exam. This includes verbal help from another student, written notes, hand signals, or the like. This also includes permitting another student to read the exam while you are taking it. No Additional Electronic Devices -- Do not use electronic devices, including phones, mobile apps, or second computers, for any reason during an exam. These devices should not be present in the testing space. Phones should be turned off during exams. If you have multiple monitors, you may use only one, and the others must be turned off. Your Camera should be above your active monitor. No Sharing -- Do not share an examination or any part of an examination with other students. Do not post an examination or any part of an examination on social media or other websites. Any plagiarism in an Exam will result in an immediate permanent 0 for the exam and may result in further action by the Rutgers Office of Student Conduct. Violations of Exam Procedures The instructor retains the right to refuse to accept for credit an exam if the test taker violates any of the exam procedures listed above.
